Which Australian visa has no age limit?

Skilled workers of all ages are welcomed into Australia because of a few visa options that offer no age limit.

  • Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482)

The skilled occupations covered by this visa are those that are on the Australian government’s list.

Two streams are available,

The Medium-Term Stream, offers a potential path to permanent residency, for stays up to 4 years, and the Short-Term Stream, will be used for short-term stays up to 2 years.

It follows that although the TSS visa itself is not age-restricted, the related permanent residency option is.

Permanent Residency Pathway

The TSS visa itself has no age limit, but it is important to remember that the pathway to permanent residency that is linked to it does.

Candidates using the TSS visa who are interested in getting permanent residency must be younger than 45 at the time of application.

The requirement is consistent with Australia’s more expansive immigration policies, which are designed to attract younger, highly skilled immigrants who can eventually boost the economy of the country.

    • You can convert your visitor visa in Student visa (subclass 500) if you not get condition 8503 (which means “ No Further Stay” in Australia) But for work visa (subclass 482) you will need to find a employer who can sponsor you for the job. Hope you found this helpful!
